Oftentimes a leaky rotary is due to one of two things. A rotary’s inner o-ring could be slightly out of place, in which case pressing in on the rotary joint and rotating back and forth for a while can ease the o-ring into the proper position and seal up correctly. It can also be caused by over-pressure in the system, which can be solved with a pressure check valve. If neither of these solve the problem, the internal o-ring is likely faulty and the fitting will need to be replaced.
