Leak testing, bleeding air, pump and flow problems, coolant care and temperatures.

Bleeding Air From a New LoopAir trapped in a freshly filled loop causes noise, poor cooling and pump wear. Tilt the case through several orientations while the pump runs, top up the reservoir as air clears, and expect the process to take a few sessions over a day or two.CPU Temperatures Higher Than ExpectedWhen a CPU runs hotter than expected on a water loop, the block is rarely the limiting part. Mount pressure and thermal paste, total radiator capacity, pump flow, trapped air and the power draw of modern high-core CPUs account for nearly every case.Fixing DDC Pump Noise in Distro PlatesA humming noise from a distro plate DDC pump is usually caused by trapped air pockets inside the housing. This noise typically resolves within 72 to 96 hours, but you can speed up the process by tilting your case and cycling power.Installing a GPU Water Block: Thermal Pads and PasteGPU block installation is unforgiving of pad thickness and mounting order. Use the thickness the guide specifies, cover every component the guide lists, apply paste thinly to the die only, and tighten gradually from the centre outward.Leak Testing Before First BootAlways leak test with the rest of the system unpowered, for at least a few hours and ideally overnight. Run only the pump, keep paper towel under every fitting, and check again after the loop has been through a heat cycle.Pump Noise, Priming and Flow ProblemsMost pump noise is air, not a fault. Check that the pump is primed and never run dry, that it is decoupled from the case, and that flow is reaching every component before suspecting the pump itself.Show Coolant Color Fading (Opaque & Vue)PrimoChill opaque and Vue show coolant color fades due to high pump speeds, air gaps, and continuous operation. Run pumps at 30-50% speed, fully bleed air, and power down when not in use to extend color life. Why Your Coolant Is Losing Its ColorCoolant color loss is most often caused by pH imbalance (ideal range 7-9 for PrimoChill coolants). Flush your system with the PrimoChill Cleaning Prep Kit and refill with fresh coolant to restore performance.
